About Seaward Downs Loop Track
Near Invercargill in Southland, Seaward Downs Loop Track runs 1.2 km as a loop.
An easy, well-formed 40-minute loop through the native podocarp forest of Seaward Downs Scenic Reserve near Invercargill, starting from a large picnic area and known for its diverse birdlife.
Graded easy, it climbs about 6 m overall, pitching up to 4 % at its steepest, and takes about 14m to walk.
Dogs are welcome here on the lead. DOC’s own wording: “Dogs on a leash only.”.
